Heavy metal – the religion??

A new internet campaign has been launched to get Heavy Metal listed as a religion in the 2011 census
It’s not the first time a pop culture reference has appeared in this category, remember Jedi (the Star Wars creed) was added in 2001 when 390,000 people listed it as their faith – making it the 4th largest faith in the UK.
This latest campaign, started by Metal Hammer magazine, has seen a Facebook group already attract 10,000 followers – all vowing to say they worship Heavy Metal
