My friend Mark Steadman does brilliant things - this is one of them - a regular podcast where guests are invited to pick a topic, and they thrash out a top 5 list.
This one on point-and-click games made me very happy indeed.

And then, there's the point and click game I keep trying to make in Tableau (which is a business dashboarding tool and absolutely NOT for making games in).

I’m spending most of my time working out how to create inventory, story panels, dialogue etc. It has very little content beyond the base map (try visiting the blacksmith), and I don't have a plot but in theory ... it could work???!?!
